Information About Doggie Day Care And Boarding
The health and safety of your dog is our main concern. We want your pet to return to you in great health. In order to protect all of the dogs in our care, we have a few requirements you must meet before being able to board your pets with us. Please take a look at the information below.
Pet Requirements
Age
Must be a minimum of 15 weeks of age and have completed a minimum of 3 puppy vaccines. Puppies must also follow the vaccination requirements and be up to date on Rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations.
Sex
Dogs MUST be spayed or neutered to participate in group play if over 8 months of age. Apollo Kennels will accept unaltered dogs for boarding with an additional charge of $3.00 each day. Unaltered dogs under the age of 8 months will be able to participate in group play as long as they do not disrupt play with excessive humping, dominant behavior, or aggressive behavior.
Vaccines
Apollo Kennels requires proof of DAPP, Rabies, and Bordetella. Bordetella must have been administered within 6 months of reservation. All vaccinations MUST be done at least 7 days prior to stay. Apollo Kennels will NOT accept pets that have been vaccinated less than 7 days prior to stay.
Flea / Tick
All dogs must be kept on a regular flea/tick treatment plan. Any dog found to have fleas will be treated by staff at owner’s expense.
Health
All dogs must be in good health and the owner will certify that their dog(s) have not been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days.
Behavior
All dogs must be non-aggressive and not be food or toy protective to participate in group daycare. Owners will certify their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behaviors towards any person or any other dog(s). Apollo Kennels does accept aggressive and/or unaltered dogs, but they will NOT be able to participate in a group setting. Aggressive and/or unaltered dogs will be charged $ 3.00 each day in addition to boarding or daycare charges.
